Just in case....

... you ever decide to get a husky, I thought you should know what you are getting yourself into:

That pile next to her is her undercoat. Huskies "blow their coats" in summer to regulate their temperatures. Their coat is their "heating and air unit", if you will. You can't shave them, it would kill them. So, brush we must.

For the record, this is the third pile we pulled off of her. We are halfway there.

So now you know what it will be like each summer, if you ever decide to get one of these. : )

I also thought it a good conversation blog, no?

I feel your pain, Heather! We have a greyhound, and despite his slim figure, he is a massive hairball this time of year!!! We recently found out about the Furminator tool, and it works like a dream. I never knew so much hair could come off the dog!!

The furminator is exactly what I use. That where the pile came from! I feel your pain, too, girl. I really do!

My mom and dad use the furminator on their pug! My dogs don't shed too bad, but even on them it produced a lot. I'm not sure how you guys do it!
