Can Steve Martin revive SNL?

The answer from my Magic 8 Ball: outlook not so good. I barely made it through the horrible digital short about "Laser Cats" before politely bowing out. I thought Steve had standards! Kristin Wig is the only female in the opening credits, and she's hit or miss a lot of the time. Where are the funny ladies? I miss Tina Fey and Amy Phoeler and Sherri O'Terry. Hell, I miss Will Ferrell too, and they weren't even on the cusp when Saturday Night Live was really good. When is SNL going to be something I look forward to again??
